Palma Superyacht Show
Did you know about the annual Palma Superyacht Show?
Launched in 2013, the Palma Superyacht Show has quickly developed into one of the biggest events on the international yachting calendar.
The world’s most influential brokerage houses and shipyards, as well as equipment and service companies, return year after year to partake in the Palma Superyacht Show’s growing success. Here’s some information about the show which just concluded, running 27th April to 1st May 2018 this year.
Its setting in the Mediterranean’s most flourishing superyacht hub of Palma De Mallorca, and accessibility by means of direct flights, are only two of the reasons why the show has also seen a substantial annual rise in visitor numbers.
A game changing aspect of the Palma Superyacht Show is its 50 / 50 ratio of power to sail, which effectively means it’s one of the largest sailing superyacht shows worldwide.
Visitors keen to buy or charter a yacht can set their eyes on a unique selection of one-off yachts over 24m, ranging from multi-level motor yachts which offer ample space and top level-comfort to sleek performance cruisers poised to excel at the next regatta.
All yachts are immediately available for charter and/or sale – just in time to cruise the turquoise waters of the Balearics and enjoy the Mediterranean summer season, which starts right after the show.
Organised by the industry, for the industry, the show not only provides exhibitors with an ideal platform to showcase all they have to offer, but also ample opportunities to make new business connections: whether on an organized conference, stylish brunch or evening cocktail party.
Moreover, aside from commenting on the show’s excellent networking opportunities, visitors and exhibitors alike repeatedly compliment the Palma Superyacht Show’s signature laid-back atmosphere.
Added attraction is, of course, the show’s location in the heart of sunny Palma de Mallorca and the fact that the show includes the 1st May public holiday.
This enables visitors from abroad to not only enjoy a weekend of island sun but also everything that Mallorca’s mesmerising capital has to offer, such as its fascinating old-town, on-trend boutiques, 5-star restaurants, as well as its signature stunning beaches and sapphire-hued waters.
The 6th Palma Superyacht Show has just concluded with the customary boat show ‘horn blowing’ signalling a fun and successful time was had by all. See you there in 2019?
