Maori Yacht launches their newly designed Maori 54 and celebrates their 10 year anniversary.

The renowned Hotel Cala di Volpe located on the exquisite Costa Smerelda of Sardinia in Italy was chosen by Maori Yacht as the venue for the launch celebration of the new cutting-edge Maori 54 designed by Marco Ciampa.

The new Maori 54 was chosen to mark the Italian shipyard’s tenth anniversary celebrations and was featured “front and centre” during the event offering guests an exclusive look at the design’s contemporary lines and aggressive overtones.

The weather played its part perfectly during the scheduled the sea trials and the evening dinner party celebrations.

Set under the stars, the guests were treated to all the luxuries one would expect from such a location and enjoyed themselves immensely.

According to Maori Chief Architect Marco Ciampa, “The Maori 54 is designed to meet every need required for navigating across the sea in style.”

About the Maori 54:

The Maori 54 can seat 12 guests for use as a tender but it’s also perfect for day cruises, allowing guests to enjoy the sun and the clear blue seas. The low transom makes for easy diving stops and water sports for everyone.

On the deck, there is a kitchenette protected by a hardtop. Forward of the helm station and sunk into the deck is a social area that allows for more intimate division of the parties onboard during the day.

Maori’s incorporation of a convertible top however similar to that used on cabriolet cars ingeniously converts this are into a versatile space. If protection is required during rough or longer transfer passages, the guests are well protected in an enclosed saloon.

If overnight accommodation is required for an adventurous weekend exploring remote beaches without the primary yacht, then the banquettes convert into berths and the saloon becomes a cabin.

Engine options include Jollydrive surface propeller with engines ranging from 650 to 800hp provided by Volvo Penta or MAN. Maori Yacht has a fully enclosed version under development.
